SAFEGUARDING

SAFEGUARDING

We are committed to protecting the safety and wellbeing of all individuals we work with, and expect everyone involved to uphold this responsibility. We take a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, ensuring all concerns are treated seriously and addressed properly.

WHAT IS SAFEGUARDING?

Safeguaring means protecting people’s health, wellbeing, and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse, and neglect.

This includes:

  • Physical abuse
  • Emotional or psychological abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Neglect
  • Financial or material abuse
  • Exploitation (including online)

IF YOU HAVE A CONCERN

If you are worried about someone’s safety or wellbeing, please report it to your Housing Sustainment Worker as soon as possible.

In an Emergency
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999 straight away.

Local Authority
If you don’t feel police involvement is necessary or you’re hesitant to contact them, you can reach out to social care instead. They look into the situation and offer support to the adult involves.
